Canoeing can be an intimidating activity. This trip is designed to be a fun and relaxed day that will leave you with new or improved skills. The Rio Grande is a great canoeing river that lends itself to growth. Whether you are trying to gain confidence for longer and more demanding trips or you would just like to add a great new skillset to your life, the Canoe Instructional can provide a next level of education. The day will cover the fundamentals of canoeing in addition to a plethora of skills that are necessary for canoe tripping.

Day Trips itineraries can change based on season and water levels. With that said, we will guarantee a top quality day trip no matter what.

What’s included in your Trip

  • A Day on the river (4-5 hours) with a professional guide

  • All river gear (Boats/PFD/Paddles)

  • Drinking water and a cooler for your lunch

  • A Dry Bag for your extra belongings

  • An amazing day

What to bring

  • Lunch! (Any snacks or lunch for the day. The Lajitas General store has lots of options)

  • A water bottle

  • Shoes/sandals and clothes that can get wet (closed-toe shoes are prefered)

  • Rain Jacket (especially when expecting rain)

  • Extra warm layers (can go in your drybag)

  • Sun protection (Hats, Sunscreen, Sun layers, etc.)

  • Sense of adventure
